Darrye has been in nursing since 1975, when she graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She continued her education, earning a master of science in nursing from the University of Evansville in Indiana in 1980. In 1999, Darrye returned to school at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, where she completed post-graduate studies to become a licensed family nurse practitioner. Darrye joined the KentuckyCare team in 2012.
